PRESIDENT's BULLETIN

66 Road Warriors descended on Preston to contest the first instalment of the Warzone Belt league. As usual the Panthers treated us very well, feeding the competitors & some of the hangers on for free. I had a lot of fun over the weekend & was impressed by a lot of the new blood that have appeared to challenge the old guard.

There were some teething problems my end. I had difficult compiling the scores for the playoffs once we had gone through the 388 matches to determine the top 12 so lost some time until I realised how to improve this & did so for the right arm, but it was a later than usual finish because of that delay. It wasn't practical to run a tier 2 final - I don't think any of those who got their ten pins for their 7th - 12th places were…

Those unloved souls pining at home without a valentine have ample time to work on their wrist strength ready for the upcoming 2026 Warzone season starting 28th February - PRESTON PANTHERS are the hosts. A lot of people want to get their points in the league towards winning the 2026 Road warrior belt. Reuben Hughes won the 2025 series & I wouldn't be surprised if he has his eyes on another. A reminder: No one can take the belt away from the league winner - once it is won, we buy another for the following year & it all starts again. There are going to be some tough battles this season - dates have been set for DEVON & MOTHERWELL, I'm still negotiating with NEWCASTLE, SWINDON & LEEDS over dates with the season finals already booked…

I doubt that grey drizzly January mornings three weeks after Christmas are anyone's favourite time of year, but I was quietly happy strolling around the graveyard this morning . Armed with a resistance band & some hope that old injuries will eventually heal I thought about Udezumou 2 weeks ago & the Irish Open in a fortnight.  I've done some boring admin stuff this week, but other than that armwrestling seems a long way away.

Events Calendar has had Nationals & Warzone Final dates added. Still no confirmed date for the IFA EUROS so the events I have planned for May & June are still to be finalised. More  international comps have been added to IFA's Website by the Presidents Group - the link is on the International tournaments page & there are suddenly a lot of things to go to in Europe if you have the travelling spirit.…
