PRESIDENT's BULLETIN

Pinkertons Irish Open hosted by Armagh Geddon Armwrestling club over the weekend was very busy & exciting. I had a temperature running cold & hot during the day so can maybe use that as an excuse why I armwrestled even more poorly than usual. Still, there was fun to be had. I met with stone lifter Martin Gallagher who travels around finding ancient lumps of rock to pick up, often associated with mythology which is right up my street. I also met David McGuinness who closely resembles what I imagine myself to look like until I see a mirror. There were some cracking matches, my room mate Oli Williams looked like he was having the match of the day against Arthuras Sakutis until Reuben Hughes & Giedrius Gudas gripped up. I doubt that grey drizzly January mornings three weeks after Christmas are anyone's favourite time of year, but I was quietly happy strolling around the graveyard this morning . Armed with a resistance band & some hope that old injuries will eventually heal I thought about Udezumou 2 weeks ago & the Irish Open in a fortnight.  I've done some boring admin stuff this week, but other than that armwrestling seems a long way away.

Events Calendar has had Nationals & Warzone Final dates added. Still no confirmed date for the IFA EUROS so the events I have planned for May & June are still to be finalised. More  international comps have been added to IFA's Website by the Presidents Group - the link is on the International tournaments page & there are suddenly a lot of things to go to in Europe if you have the travelling spirit.…
