Just a few hours before 2 of my Vice Presidents - Atom Bomb Tom Atherton & Claymore James Stewart headline ARMGODS Ultimate Armwrestler episode 13 - Sunday 6th July 2025. Press conference is at 4pm & action starts at 5pm. It is the match of the year so far for me. I'm friends with both. James has freakish strength & is dedicated to improving. Tom is a strategist, with exceptional ability - & is strong as hell himself. Who will win?
I think the first round could go to Tom - he'll have something difficult planned & will want to get dominance early with shock value. That's no secret - he's said as much directly to James in the chat group. James will be looking to catch whatever weapon Tom releases & counter it with his own power. I think of armwrestling like the old cowboy movies - the man with the fastest draw can get the first bullet off - but it has to hit the target & the other guy's missile launched a split second later might be the killing shot afterall. James is likely to get annoyed if he loses the first round which makes him more deadly. If James wins that first round - Tom will have adjustments to make whilst James will be confident that he can take anything thrown at him. So round two is the vital one I feel. The one who wins that has the answer for the other one & will go on to win. I've never managed to pin either of them in practice or competition - both are at a far higher level than I am. So what do I know? I think that most will expect James to prevail. I don't think it is so clear cut. We shall see. Good luck to both.
This is all leading up to Valhalla 4 in Wales on August 9th. I'm hoping to get there, but won't know until the night before if I can make it. I've already bought my ticket - they are available now on armgods.com where you can also buy a subscription to watch everything & buy a Jim Beach Judge Dredd shirt. Summerslam is in a few weeks - contact Tutts at Sussex Armwrestling if you want a match - you might only get a stand in scarecrow job now but you never know - people bottle it out & guinea pigs mysteriously have to be taken to the vets on the same day. Details on events calendar alongside everything else you might want to do.
Next PAA event is October 4th - 3rd edition of the Yorkshire cup warzone in Leeds. Someone will get their name added onto the annual trophy. Is that something you could win? A lot can happen before the winning 17th pin is made & there are no certainties.
This week IFA have updated some wording in their information pack which is available to read on the WORLDSTEAM page.
