2025 is over. There were a lot of fun moments, notable achievements & things worth remembering. Here are the things that I remember most:
UDEZUMOU TAG WARZONE '25 -- Vicious match with Mateusz Matuszczac. I might have won it. It was my match of the year.
STEELARM FIGHT 2: Reffing at Hightower's gym for supermatches. Spalding Steelarms are always interesting to catch up with.
ARMGODS WINTERBLAST/INDEPENDENCE CUP - Oto Fogelmanis' promo was the funniest thing on a trip full of humour & excitement. I also offered a 100 dollar bet that Mindaugus Dulskas would win his match to Allen Ford, Ryan Grondin, Jody Williams, Bob Brown & RVJ. None of them would back their man against our champ. Sweet. I'll never let them forget it.
SCURTU VIOREL - I rarely miss people, I always have too much to do, but Viorel departing the UK is a loss. We often travelled together, sung & joked & it was always fun.
HOSTILE WARZONE MOTHERWELL - the road trips with Karl & Oli are easy driving. Nik Dodd, a common rival got worn down by our combined efforts with Keith Taylor making the tag to claim the pin. That weekend, that was the only one that mattered.
YORKSHIRE CUP - I accidentally booked myself into a spa hotel instead of a dogshit one & found myself floating in a hot pond under a waterfall the next day. How about that?
PRO NATIONALS - everything worked! So for once I was happy. The refs meeting I had in the hotel after was very valuable - I got to talk to the best I could find with minimal interruptions. I also caught up with Ryan Francis who I haven't talked to for a while & that was great too.
PAUL MAIDEN - I'm always impressed by his energy, enthusiasm & madness. He gave away thousands of pounds of cash at the Triple Crown - I got the job of counting it - & most people didn't care enough to take part. I don't know who is madder - him for giving it away or the rest of you for not taking the chance to get it.
The PAA BOARD: HOLLIE & JAMES STEWART, TOM ATHERTON, ALAN MILNE, AMANDA BROWN, STANLEY HAMILTON, ADRIAN O'DWYER & DAVE KELLY all did useful things this year that most will never know of to keep things running. The easier choice is not to do it. When you see any of these people thank them.
BOGDAN STOICA & JAMES WALL. These pair have been our top exports of 2025. They go off out into the world, smash the opposition & spread fear among them. Keep up the good work lads. I love it.
